Slight Rebound: BTC Holds Above $4,000
After another sharp market drop on the last weekend, the prices of the top cryptocurrencies are recovering. Bitcoin rose above $4,000.
Monday began with a small price recovery in the cryptocurrency market. After the collapse at the weekend, BTC rose by 7.96% and reached $4,051, according to Coinmarketcap at the time of publication.
Ripple strengthened by 9.29% to $0.379672. Ethereum price rose by 9.09% and now stands at $116.
Bitcoin Cash also went up a bit. Its price increased by 6.94% to $182. In total, the cryptocurrency capitalization increased by almost $10 billion and reached $129 billion.
According to Coinmarketcap, BTC set another anti-record in 2018. The price of the first cryptocurrency dropped to $3,668. The last time the BTC rate fell so low in September last year.
On November 14, massive sell-off hit the cryptocurrency market. Since then, BTC has fallen by more than 40%, and the market lost more than $90 billion in capitalization.
