Robert Cornish Becomes New CTO of Genesis Trade
Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, founding brothers of Genesis Exchange Trade, have announced their new CTO, appointing Robert Cornish to the chief technology officer after previously working for NYSE.
NYSE had previously employed Cornish as their CIO overlooking the company's electronic trade. Per the recent announcements, the newly appointed CTO will join Genesis next month and lead its tech-development plans. Appointing Cornish to the new position has further proved that the cryptocurrency industry in the United States is taking a more mainstream approach to the tech.
Wall Street execs have been flocking towards the digital currency industry, heading up several startups and shedding light on a previously ignored environment. Richard Kim became Galaxy Digital's new COO after his executive position at Goldman Sachs. Michael Bucella also left, joining former VP of Goldman Sachs at BlockTower Capital.
A statement by Gemini's CEO said that Robert Cornish will guarantee that the company's trading exchange will continue to provide the internationally recognized services and maintain its exceptional reputation as one of the best.
Gemini is the first company to be issued a license allowing it to operate with Zcash in New York, as well as Bitcoin cash and Litecoin within the state.
