Ripple Adds Virtual Crypto-ATM to Thousands of Stores
In yet another move to spread its presence and adoption, Ripple has added its native coin, the XRP, to thousands of stores worldwide through a digital cryptocurrency ATM platform. The Canadian company has stated that its Netcoins software is easily installed on almost any device, including iPads, cell phones, laptops and more, enabling store owners to become resellers of cryptocurrencies.
As opposed to hauling in a big and heavy ATM into a store, Netcoins transforms any device with WiFi capabilities into what is essentially a mobile and digital cryptocurrency ATM. Cryptocurrencies will be sold in set amounts, from $10, $20, $50 and $100 USD.
Buyers will operate on a user-friendly interface and instantly input their information, including names and a driver’s license. On the other hand, retail store owners and sellers receive a commission for each complete transaction and drawing in customers looking to simply purchase cryptocurrencies without creating their own accounts on any digital currency exchanges and according to Ripple, the entire process is incredibly easy and frictionless.
Those on the ATM’s check-out queue looking to purchase coins will be sent an email with all the details of the completed transaction and a digital wallet holding the purchased amount. This enables buyers to quickly get their hands on cryptocurrency in the same and easy manner of cash back services at convenience stores.
