Nuggets Secures Services Of ex-Visa MD
Ex-Visa boss Kevin Jenkins has officially joined Nuggets as a board member. On the board, Jenkins will serve as Non-Executive Director. He is expected to add his expertise to the rapidly expanding firm. Jenkin’s recruitment is geared towards accelerating the firm’s growth worldwide.
Nuggets boss Alastair Johnson said, Jenkins, is a pioneer when it comes to payments in the market. He said the new recruit will revolutionize the way clients manage their transactions.
The new board member has served at both Visa and Mastercard. At the two firms, he was credited with rolling out digital innovations within controlled environments. He also handled change in governance in addition to enhancing, payments journeys in the physical and digital world.
The contactless payment rolled out in the UK was also credited to Jenkins. Visa partnered with TFL in a deal that has realized over one billion contactless journeys.
Confirming the appointment, Jenkins noted that the establishment of holding individual data was no longer effective. He stressed the need for having a change in the payment structure. He added the payment journeys with many steps has ended up leaving customers frustrated.
Jenkins added that he expects stakeholders to incorporate Nuggets in the payment system and he was excited to part of what he termed as a revolution. His appointment comes in the wake of the recent revelation that the firm had inked a deal with QFPay. QFPay is based in Chinese and has handled about half a billion mobile payments since inception.
Nuggets, the online payment, and ID platform stores personal and payment data in the blockchain without any security concerns. In this case, payments can be made without sharing personal information.
