Major Setback: Bitcoin Retreated to Below $3,900

Over the last weekend, the crypto market was pleased with the first signs of “spring”, and the bitcoin price grew above $4,200. But the thaw did not last long, and late at night on Sunday, the BTC again collapsed below $3,900.

Since the beginning of last week, signs of a bullish trend have appeared on the cryptocurrency market. According to Coinmarketcap, BTC jumped up from about $3,740 at the start of the week to $4,201 on Sunday. But bulls quickly exhausted, and late at night on Sunday another collapse began. As a result, over the past day, the BTC has plunged by 8% and reached $3,846.

Ethereum for 24H lost in price more than 15%, and at the time of publication, ETH was trading at $139. Ripple — the third cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization — also plunged. The price of XRP fell by 9.72% to $0.304536.

The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has collapsed by more than $13 billion in the last 24 hours. At the time of publication, it stood at $128 billion.
