BTC Plunges Below $3,450, Total Market Cap Lost Another $5 Billion

The crypto market just cannot get out of a steep dive. Over the last week, the total market capitalization of cryptocurrency has lost another $5 billion, and bitcoin has fallen below $3,450.

According to CoinGecko, over the past 7 days, the top 5 cryptocurrencies traded in the red zone. BTC price fell by 2.6% for the week. At the time of publication, bitcoin was trading at $3,449.

Ripple — the second cryptocurrency by market capitalization — during this time fell in price by 6.2% to $0.297062. Ethereum for the last 7 days has fallen in price by 9%. Now the value of ETH is $106.

EOS and Tether, which rank 4th and 5th in capitalization, also lost in value over the last week. EOS fell by 1.4% to $2.29. The price of stablecoin decreased by 0.2% to $0.998310.

The total market capitalization of cryptocurrency since the last week decreased by $5 billion. At the time of publication, it stood at $113 billion.

  • According to a recent JP Morgan report, the support level of the BTC price is $2,400.  The cryptocurrency may fall to this level in the foreseeable future. If bearish sentiment continues to dominate on the market, bitcoin could plunge to $1,260 or even lower.
