Bitmain to Launch Blockchain Center in Texas
Among the leading ASIC producers and cryptocurrency mining hardware manufacturers in the world, Bitmain has just revealed plans to launch a new blockchain center in Texas, specifically in Rockdale, a town well-known for its coal mining.
As per the new reveal, the new data center’s launch site is already under construction and preparation. The company expects construction to be complete within the final few months of this year and initiation will occur at the beginning of 2019. In total, almost $500M USD has been poured into the new project and 400 new employment opportunities have opened up within the coal mining town.
As it happens to be, the costs for the new facility are incredibly minor for Bitmain, a company that managed to gain over $1B USD in profit within Q1 of this year alone. EVP of Bitmain, Jeff Stearns, has expressed the anticipation of launching the new center and stated that Bitmain is eagerly looking to collaborate fully with its partners, official and governmental authorities and more to ensure the success of the new endeavor from its set-up to its launch and so on.
Currently, the company is developing plans for an initial product offering in Hong Kong later this year and anticipates a market profit of anywhere between $30B and $40B by the end of 2018.
